Who enjoys doing chores & housework? So why not not knock out a big one most of despise? Vacuuming can now be done by doing nothing. The popularity of robot vacuums has grow considerably as technology has moved forward. The new iRobot Roomba 880 is one of the best and Roomba is a well known household name in the robotic vacuum arena.
This is the newest version from iRobot, with a nice sleek contemporary design. The newly designed Roomba use rubber rollers instead of the usually bristles. This not only cleans hard surfaces better, but also does not get nearly as tangled up with pet hair and such. That is a great improvement, though, comes in $200 more than the previous Roomba at $699! Dang, that is not cheap. The price to pay to keep one less chore off your list I suppose. Some other notable improvements with the iRobot Roomba 880 are increased size for collecting, better suction, and an improved battery life for longer cycles before returning back to base. The collection bin is now 50% larger than previous Roomba’s. In regards to how much this Roomba can collect before needing emptying it still needs to be done often. Especially, if you have shedding four legged fury friends running about. That said, the nice thing is iRobot included a red light that comes on when the vacuum is full, eliminating the guess work of is it ready to be emptied or not.
Easy to program quickly to run at dedicated times day or night when most convenient for you. Some complain that the Roomba 880 is still to noisy and of course the somewhat scary price tag. Can you really put a price on eliminating a chore you have likely despised doing since you were old enough for your parents to stick a vacuum in your hand? Well then, it is priceless!
